As preparations for Heimtextil 2013 approach their most important phase, ali signs point to another successful event. From 9 to 12 January 2013 the industry’s top players will be coming from ali över the world to Frankfurt am Main for the intemational trade fair for home and contract textiles. Trade visitors will be able to experience an unrivalled range of textile products, trends and innovations on 19 hail levels. Heimtextil also features an informative complementary program and numerous services for visitors and exhibitors. As a leading intemational trade fair, Heimtextil covers the entire range of textile interior design and contract furnishings: from products for windows, upholstery, floors, vvalls and sun protection to bathroom, bedroom and table textiles. Home textiles (“window”, “upholstery”, “floor”, “wall” and “sun”) can be found in Halis 3 to 6, while household textiles {“bath”, “bed” and “table”) will be shown in Halis 8 to 11.

New and returning exhibitors
in light of the outstanding number of registrations, the event’s organizers are looking fonvard to a top-quality cast of exhibitors: “The vvallpaper segment is continuing to expand as it welcomes new exhibitors, and we are also seeing increases in the number of furniture fabric and decorative fabric providers,” states Olaf Schmidt, Vice President of Textiles & Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt. “We are pleased to report that we ha ve already nearly sold out Hail 8, which will be playing hoşt to new exhibitors with bedvvare and mattresses. We are also expecting a range of prestigious companies in the premium exhibition area offering high-quality products for the bath, bed and table, as well as a number of fashion labels that are repositioning themselves on the market with trendsetting home collections.”

The roster of new and returning exhibitors includes countless well-known providers such as British textile distributors Clarke & Clarke, who will be making their debut in Hail 3.1. They will be joined by Muresco (Argentina) and Jannelli & Volpi (Italy), producers of high-quality wallpapers. in the curtains, furniture fabrics and decorative fabrics segment in Halis 3.0 and 4.1, De Poortere Freres, Flanders’ Trimmings and Tissat Deslee (Belgium) will be on hand önce again, as will JooplLiving (Germany), featuring its own presentation for the first time. Other returning exhibitors include Abraham Moon & Sons and Premier Voile (UK), Brunswick (France) and Triade (Italy). Two returnees from Germany, Junkers & Müller and H. Büsche, have already signed up for the “sun” segment in Hail 5.1. The bedvvare segment is also vvelcoming a number of returning companies, with both
Heinrich Haussling and Tempur exhibiting their products in Hail 8. Breckle Matratzenwerk Weida will also be exhibiting here for the first time. Linum will be showcasing its designs for the table and kitchen in the premium exhibition area in Hail 11.1. One nevvcomer will be the
Spanish fashion label Desigual, which is presenting its home collection in Hail 11.0. A whole series of young companies from the household textile field will be exhibiting as part of Ne w & Next, a platform that showcases industry newcomers vvith fresh design ideas.
Design Üve: a new concept for HaU 4.2
The design area in Hail 4.2 has been given a new look and a new name – Design live. With the implementation of this new concept, the organisers are highlighting just how important Heimtextil is to this sector and making design presentations a focal point of the trade fair. Design live is the world’s largest platform for textile design: some 150 international exhibitors will be presenting their creative designs in Hail 4.2, including a number of new studios who are making their Heimtextil debuts. Design live also offers a platform for newcomers and young designers. As part of the Campus project, for example, international design schools will be presenting their creative textile creations.
Contract Creations: providing orientation to the contract business
With Contract Creations, Heimtextil is introducing a broad range of products and a comprehensive comple-mentary program tailored to the needs of architects, room planners, interior decorators and interior designers. in cooperation with architecture magazine AİT and the Ger man Hotel Association IHA, a series of presentations will be taking place at “Let’s talk about…”, a presentation area and central information forum now located in Galleria 1. Topics on the program include Luxury & Urban Living and Future Hotel. in addition, Heimtextil also offers workshops, tours, special showcases and competitions, such as an architectural innovation award for contract textiles. The Contract Guide, a directory of contract providers, serves as an additional source of orientation for the contract business.
Green textiles: mor e than just a trend
Sustainably produced textiles will be a particular point of focus at Heimtextil, and green products ar e a key aspect of “Let’s talk about…”. The Green Directory puts the spotlight on ecological and fair textiles, providing visitors with an overvieıv of the exhibiting companies and their products vvhich are characterized by high ecological quality or sustainable production methods. Young Creations Award: Upcycling marks the first time that Heimtextil is offering a prize honoring new talent that is focused on sustainability. Students at Coburg Unİversity of Applied Sciences and Aachen Unİversity of Applied Sciences have been called upon to transform recycled materials into objects for use in the interior. These creative projects will be presented in Hail 4.2.
Coupon Business: a service for interior decorators and dealers
The Coupon Business Finder is Heimtextil’s third target group-specific exhibitor directory, listing companies that of fer small and very small volumes of home and household textiles. This means that the Coupon Business Finder is perfect for interior decorators and specialist retailers looking to be able to order volumes that match their specific requirements so that they can provide their clients with a flexible product range. Creating this directory has allowed Heimtextil to offer a source of orientation to everyone who is interested in these volumes – a practical companion on their trade fair visit that makes it easier to find new suppliers and business partnere. The stands of the exhibitors that are listed in the Contract Guide, Green Directory and Coupon Business Finder are identified on location, and ali three directories are available free of charge at various locations on the exhibition grounds.
Heimtextil Trends: seismograph for tbe new season
Heimtextil Trends has been one of this event’s calling cards worldwide for more than 20 years, serving as a source of orientation for product developers, decorators and designers. A team of six international design agencies has chosen the key topics for the 2013/14 season from a wide variety of trends from around the world. The results of their work will be on display online at www.heimtextil-trends.com, in “Being”, the Heimtextil Trend Book and at the Trend Show in Forum 0 during Heimtextil. in addition, Hail 11.1 will also be the venue for “Be inspired”, a special new showcase featuring design ideas for specialist retailers in the field of household textiles that are based on the Heimtextil Trends. Ready-made products, high-quality designs and sustainable textiles will be given their own exclusive presentation area. Stijlinstituut Amsterdam is responsible for the presentation of this year’s book and the visualization at the trade fair.
Heimtextil in the centre of Frankfurt
With the Heimtextil Goes City initiative, which is taking place in collaboration with the Frankfurt Interior Decorators’ Guild, new developments from the trade fair will showcased in the heart of the city. On 12 January 2013, specialist retailers, galleries and public institutions will be presenting textiles in every aspect of life and culture, ensuring that consumers will also be given an opportunity to experience part of Heimtextil while obtaining valuable tips for the home.
