We learned about the vision of the company and its targets for the upcoming years from Berhan Kaya, Marketing and Sales Manager of Aydın Tekstil. Berhan Kaya stated that their main philosophy is customer satisfaction.
How did you decide to start the industry and how is your work going now? What are your plans and projects in the sector?
Aydın Tekstil, which has been operating in the field of textile since 1957, started to produce its product range with upholstery fabric. In 2013, the company added knitted mattress fabric to its product range. Aydın Tekstil moved its mattress fabric production entirely from Istanbul to Kayseri at the beginning of 2018. The company, which leads the sector in mattress fabric, is always involved in all kinds of plans and projects in order to develop its innovative and customer-oriented perspective.
Could you please give information about your production capacity and product range? I’m also curious about your usage areas.
Aydın Tekstil’s mattress fabric production continues with a capacity of 36,000,000 mt per year. We will increase capacity in 2022 with our new investments that we started to build in Kayseri. We produce 2 types of mattress fabrics, knitted and woven. The fabrics we produce are used on the mattress surface. In addition, our fabrics can be used by our customers as pillow covers, mattress pads, mattress borders and baseboards.
What are your most preferred products?
As in every sector, our economic group products, our products with high weight and natural fiber are in great demand. What we describe as natural fibers are fabrics containing yarn such as organic cotton, bamboo, and tencel. In addition, fabrics with anti-viral and anti-microbial properties and fabrics produced from recycled yarn are also preferred by our customers recently.
I would also like to receive information about R&D and innovation studies from you. How is your innovation work going?
We attach great importance to innovative products. In particular, Aydın Tekstil conducts many studies on innovation in mattress fabrics and I would like to say that we are assertive in this regard. Our R&D and innovation processes continue intensively and these studies are our first priority. We direct our R&D studies according to the demands and needs of our customers.
I would like to learn about the main reasons that make your products different in the industry. How would you describe this situation?
We are very confident in our product quality. We always try to keep our customer service at the best point. When our customers have any problems, we deal with them immediately. We always see our customers as business partners and we make great efforts to solve their problems. These types of factors make us different from our competitors.
Which countries do you export to and what is your export target in 2021? Also, what is the ratio of your exports to your total sales?
We export to more than 60 countries including USA, Canada, England, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Russia. Our export sales are 70% of our total sales.

We are aware that we are at a very important point in the sector. Therefore, we take our steps more firmly. We plan to continue our way quickly with our quality and best products.
