The 56th China International Furniture Fair (Shanghai) successfully concluded on September 12th at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) in Hongqiao. With the theme “Design Crossing Boundaries,” this year’s edition brought together over 1,500 domestic and international brands across a vast exhibition area of 300,000 square meters. It comprehensively presented new scenarios, new offerings, and new functionalities for the home furnishing exhibition, guided by the principles of being design-led, featuring high-end debuts, and promoting both domestic and international market circulation. Over the four-day event, a total of 92,709 professional visitors attended, including 80,836 domestic and 11,873 overseas visitors, with overseas attendance marking a year-on-year increase of 13.23%. Exhibitors and visitors eagerly converged, sparking bustling on-site trade negotiations and injecting new vitality into boosting home furnishing consumption and facilitating market circulation.

In 2025, the “New Retail Pavilion” was launched for the first time, aiming to set a benchmark for the new retail ecosystem in home furnishing and systematically showcasing the ecological matrix of the entire furniture industry chain.

Focusing on the needs of industrial upgrading and cross-disciplinary innovation in the home furnishing sector, CIFF Shanghai presents special curations in three major directions: Design Innovation, the Design Industry, and Office Spaces. Through scenario-based and experimental displays, these design explorations provide creative inspiration and solutions for the global home furnishing community, driving the deep integration and evolution of design, manufacturing, and business models.
Nearly 40 high-end forums and events will be held on-site, focusing on topics such as design concepts, home furnishing new retail, and cross-border e-commerce. The 2025 JINZAO Award for annual product design will be grandly unveiled. Initiated by the Jintang Prize and exclusively announced at CIFF Shanghai, the JINZAO Award, with its mission to “Define Design Value, Empower China’s Intelligent Manufacturing,” selects benchmark products that possess both high aesthetic value and industrial viability through a rigorous “Seven-Dimensional Evaluation System.” Through summits and expert award ceremonies, it deeply fosters the fusion of design and industry, injecting new momentum into China’s smart home manufacturing and marking a significant milestone in advancing the industry’s value.
The global launch ceremony for the 16th Jintang Prize will be held concurrently. Jintang Prize global and regional judges, emerging designers, authoritative jurors, industry leaders, veteran media professionals, and strategic partners will gather to embark on a new journey, driven by the founding spirit: “Passion Breeds the Extraordinary.”
