Organized by Turkel Fair Inc., 8th International Home Textile, Houseware and Interior Design Trade Fair opens at Atakent Exhibition Center, Almaty, Kazakhstan, 29-31 March 2014.
As the only true business platform in Almaty-Kazakhstan focusing on Home Textile, Houseware and Interior Design industries,”Homedeco” will open its doors for the eight time to the industry professionals and the general public on 29-31 March, 2014 at Atakent Exhibition Center, Pavilion 10 and 9. During three days of exhibition, over 60 local and international direct exhibitors will showcase their latest trends in home textile, houseware and interior design industries on a net exhibition area of 2,000 sqm to an audience of more than 7,000 industry professionals and the general public. In 2013, Homedeco hosted exhibitors from 7 different countries including Kazakhstan, Turkey, Italy, China, Turkmenistan, Belarus and Russia. The focus was more on the following product groups: Tulles, curtains, pillows, carpets, bathroom textiles, bedroom textiles, kitchen utensils and other interior design products.
Kazakhstan has the 9th biggest landscape in the world (2.7 million sqm). Almaty is the commercial hub of Kazakhstan with the largest trade potential in the country. In order to guarantee the maximum number of visitors not only from Almaty but also from the other cities and other neighboring countries, the organizer once again conducted “Visitor Delegation” program this year just like the previous editions.
Within the frame of this program, the travel expenses of 40 buyers were covered by the organizer. Kazakhstan is very rich in terms of underground resources like Petroleum and Uranium, besides a partially developed country in the field of agriculture. Kazakhstan exports are only limited to the raw materials to the main industries. Since Kazakhstan is very limited with the production inbound, and very dependent upon imports, it is indeed a great market and has a great potential almost for all the industries for finished products. Kazakhstan’s general imports were equal to around 42,81 billion USD in 2012. Homedeco attracted visitors from the following cities: Almaty, Shymkent, Aksu, Aktau, Aktobe, Astana, Balkash, Zezghazgan, Karaganda, Kaskelen, Kokshetau, Kostanai, Kızılordu, Pavlodar, Rudniy, Semei, Talgar, Taldıkargan, Taraz, Ust Komenanghost and out of Kazakhstan; Haifa (Israel), Istanbul (Turkey), Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), New Delhi (India), and finally Moscow (Russia).
Homedeco show has exceeded the expectations this year by growing 5% both in the number of exhibitors and net area sold which finally proved that Homedeco is on the right track.
