As the global home textiles industry looks ahead to the second half of the year, attention is turning to Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition 2026, which will take place from 18–20 August 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Following a strong start to the international exhibition calendar at Heimtextil Frankfurt, the Shanghai event is once again expected to serve as one of Asia’s leading sourcing and networking platforms for the global home textiles industry.
The exhibition continues to strengthen its international profile each year. The 2025 Autumn Edition welcomed more than 35,000 trade buyers from 116 countries and regions, while international visitor attendance increased by 55.6% compared with the previous edition. Nearly 900 exhibitors representing 26 countries and regions showcased products across the home and contract textiles sectors, reinforcing the exhibition’s role as a key meeting point for international business.
Growing International Participation Strengthens the Exhibition
Commenting on the exhibition’s continued international expansion, Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, stated that overseas participation has increased for three consecutive years. She also highlighted the addition of first-time exhibitors from Bulgaria, Finland, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and Vietnam, demonstrating the exhibition’s growing global appeal.
According to Shea, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles has evolved far beyond a traditional sourcing event, becoming an international platform where industry professionals exchange ideas, identify emerging trends, and discover innovations that will influence future product development.

Trend Forum Returns with Global Design Inspiration
One of the exhibition’s most anticipated features, the Trend Forum, will return in 2026 under the creative direction of NellyRodi™ Agency.
Designed as an immersive experience, the Trend Forum will showcase the latest lifestyle concepts through curated colour palettes, fabrics, materials, mood boards, and print designs. Chinese and international designers will collaborate to present future design directions, while featured products will be directly linked to participating exhibitors, allowing buyers to transform inspiration into sourcing opportunities.
Innovation and Sustainability Continue to Shape the Market
The global home textiles market continues to benefit from changing consumer lifestyles, growing investment in home interiors, and increasing demand for products that combine comfort, design, and functionality.
Industry forecasts indicate that the global home textiles market could reach USD 220.2 billion by 2032, supported by a projected 6.8% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) between 2025 and 2032.
At the same time, manufacturing strategies continue to evolve. Chinese manufacturers are increasingly focusing on higher-value production, product innovation, and research & development, while more cost-sensitive manufacturing continues expanding into South Asia, Southeast Asia, and selected markets across Central and Latin America.
These developments are reshaping global supply chains and creating new sourcing opportunities for international buyers.

A Global Sourcing Platform
Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles continues to offer buyers the opportunity to explore collections from established Chinese manufacturers alongside international brands from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and many other regions.
The previous edition’s Editor Zone featured 53 premium international brands, including 23 first-time exhibitors, while national pavilions from Home From Portugal, the Home Textile Export Council of Egypt, and the Nippon Interior Association of Japan showcased the strength and diversity of their domestic textile industries.
Visitors also discovered numerous product innovations, including ultra-soft chenille fabrics, linen-inspired textiles, and anti-static curtain fabrics designed to meet today’s consumer expectations. Similar innovations are expected to play a major role during the 2026 edition.
Preparing for the 2026 Edition
The upcoming exhibition will feature a comprehensive range of home textile products, including upholstery fabrics, bedding, curtains, window coverings, sun protection systems, and decorative textiles.
As manufacturers continue investing in sustainable materials, advanced production technologies, and contemporary design, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition 2026 will once again provide an ideal platform for launching new collections, building international partnerships, and identifying future business opportunities.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA), the exhibition continues to strengthen Shanghai’s position as one of the world’s leading sourcing and trend destinations for the global home textiles industry.
