“We wanted to get together with our dealers who had been adversely affected by the pandemic”
Informing us of the brand’s Journey, H. İbrahim Cingisiz, the GM at Koza Halı, said that the company was export-oriented and that they had become a reliable company at the domestic market by reaching 1,100 sales points through their dealership system for the last 3 or 4 years. Stating that they organized an introduction debut to crown their growing success, Cingisiz commented as follows: “We wanted to come together here in Antalya to support the country’s economy and our dealers, because both have been adversely affected by the pandemic. 550 people attended the event, all having come from all over Turkey. We have 22 collections currently. Additionally, we’ve designed 6 new collections that we will put into production in the days to come. We are pleased with the enthusiasm shown by our dealers.”
Products made of recyclable cotton and polyester
Talking about the new collections, Cingisiz continued his words as follows: “Starting from last year onwards, we’ve given extra attention to recycling and recycled products. We made products from recyclable cotton and polyester. Products to protect our world, if you will. We have products that are durable against sun and water effects. We also offered them to the domestic market this year. We have already been satisfied with the demand so far.”
“Our objective: 1500 sales points”
Stating that they had been exporting to 30 countries and organizing critical events in the domestic market, Cingisiz said that they had high expectations. “We have a credible and elaborately structured organization across the domestic market to raise the bar high. We work in 9 regions, with 7 regional dealerships where we have 1100 sales points supervised and audited by the regional directorates. This year, we aim to increase it to 1500.”
“We try hard to become a strongly-tied family”
Ahmet Cem Bilmez, a Board Member at Koza Halı said in his speech that they took the opportunity of changing consumer habits due to the pandemic, and that they took important steps towards branding. Pointing at the growth performance by Koza Halı, Bilmez said they were striving to become a strongly-bonded family with their dealers and their sub-retailers. “Until 5 years ago, we had been a company heavily dealing with export. We are now a respected brand that has been investing across the domestic market for the last 5 years, in this sense, Koza is a company that allocates 25% of its production for the domestic market. In the future, we are committed to further our investments in terms of re-structuring and re-organization. We sure need to be a strong and credible brand for our country both in and out of the country.”
Defne Samyeli: “I got fully convinced and motivated”
Defne Samyeli, who hosted the event, stated that she enjoyed the organization very much and that she had the chance to get to know a distinguished brand that she had not known before. Samyeli went on to say that it was a family company established in Gaziantep. “It has achieved significant success in export, which I’m very much inspired by. I’ve met new people. I am very happy and fully motivated. We desperately need good people and good news. Because due to the pandemic we are in, we have been very demoralized especially economically. It makes me quite happy that such organizations are being held, the dealers coming together. Our businessmen and their four-generation families are all working to produce goods.” Adding that she liked carpets pretty much, Samyeli lastly commented that she was a person who liked custom products. “There are products that do not fade against the solar exposure or do not get wet. I’m interested in them.”
