Established in 2006 in Denizli, Kubika Tekstil has been operating in the Organized Industrial Zone. Mr. Unal Erdogan, proprietor of the company had been a successful manager in a leading textile exporter company from 1985 to 2006 in Denizli.
Based on his vast experience in the sector Erdogan later established his own company and has always progressed. Unal Erdogan answered our questions about his company and their operations as follows:
Would you brief us about Kubika Tekstil and your products and services?
We have services in four categories: 1) We sell raw and dyed velvet fabrics and in domestic and foreign markets, 2) We produce and market quilts, blankets, bed sheet type of products with How-Lux brand, 3) In addition to our own products, we supply any products produced in Denizli within our own guarantee system, 4) Trade of raw materials such as cotton and polyester.
What about your business philosophy?
We are constantly in a race with changing time without depending on personalities. As long as we keep pace with this change we can continue. Throughout our 7-year history we have always survived by converting the negative affects of the global crisis to positive and we are set to continue with solid steps with more progresses. Our customer understanding pertains to the last buyer who buys and pays for it. When we are producing a product, we always think there is a systematic work network among business partners for that work covering raw material producer, processor, carrier, storing people and selling people. It is just like the instruments used at the performance of a song or the singers perform it. When you consider the work with this team logic you get a real value for that work. With the same token, since we consider the work at this responsibility we always choose the raw materials and performers strictly.
Since our living and trading philosophy is not indexed only with figures we set ourselves for long-term trade and existence with reliable companies which are determined for the long term business with the same understanding.
Do you participate in international fairs?
International fairs are definitely very important in the textile business as is the case for other fields. In line with our R&D studies we will start exhibiting in fairs soon.
How do you foresee the future of textile business?
I believe that the industry will develop more in Turkey, in Denizli and at Kubika. The ideas motivating me for this is that our know-how has been improving thereby making us more dynamic and active.
Anything you would like to add?
I would note a local saying here: “Our business is both our hobby and phobia!”
