10,000 companies from the worldwide textile and clothing industry are currently relying on the independent certifications from the OEKO-TEX® Association for optimising their products and production processes. In 2011, OEKO-TEX® launched the “Company of the Month” campaign on the occasion of the first OEKO-TEX® Sustainability Award. The objective is to highlight all those companies who stand out on account of their above average commitment to product safety and sustainable production conditions.
The transparency of the companies themselves and a credible and understandable company philosophy are equally forward-looking aspects – for medium-sized companies and family-run businesses as well as for international brands and retailers who stand up for social responsibility and environmental protection. All OEKO-TEX® certificate holders who do not only focus on their products but also on the people who work for the success of the company every day can now apply again to become “OEKO-TEX® Company of the Month”.
The campaign pages at www.oeko-tex.com/company-of-the-month provide a link to the OEKO-TEX Self Service Portal where an online form is available. Companies applying for the campaign will also add additional information to their basic entry in the OEKO-TEX® Buying Guide, e.g. a detailed company portrait, the company logo or their OEKO-TEX® certified brands. Interested companies can obtain their individual access data for the Self Service Portal from their responsible OEKO-TEX® test institute.
Each month, an OEKO-TEX® jury will select one company from all entries received. This company will then be explicitly named and presented on the internet campaign page as well as in publications such as the newsletter and press releases by the OEKO-TEX® Association. All Companies of the Month will also be visibly marked with the campaign logo in the OEKO-TEX® Buying Guide at www.oeko-tex.com/products and they will receive a corresponding certificate and free web banners for use in their own publications and sales channels.
