Texolotol, the new OEKO-TEX® mascot set out on its journey around the world starting from the German Certification Centre in Frankfurt in November.
The first stop was at the Hohenstein Institute in Bonnigheim in Swabia. in the coming months it with be stopping in the other OEKO-TEX® institutes in Europe and Japan and then go on to visit some of the 60 OEKO-TEX® representations around the world. Texolotl will keep everyone updated about its adventures on its own travel blog and on Facebook.
The aim of the Texolotl is to inform children early on about clothes and textiles which were tested for harmful substances and are harmless to health, to bring knowledge about this into the families in a playful way and to promote the product label ‘Confidence in textiles’. The popular figure and its friends were created by OEKOTEX® for the 20th anniversary and were designed by the award-winning illustrator Franziska Harvey.
