With the launch of the app in autumn 2020 Nextrade reaches the next milestone and makes both ordering on site at trade fairs and re-ordering in the stationary business even more flexible. More than a year ago, Nextrade was launched as the first B2B marketplace in the home & living industry and quickly attracted a large number of participating suppliers and retailers both nationally and internationally. “The fact that the response continues to be strong even in such a challenging year as 2020 shows us above all the following: Nextrade is exactly what the industry needs. We are very pleased with the development of the platform”, says Philipp Ferger, Managing Director of nmedia and Group Show Director of Tendence and Nordstil. Launch of the Nextrade app in autumn 2020
The app will be available for free download from autumn 2020. The use of the marketplace is also free of charge for retailers. With the launch, Nextrade takes the next step and makes ordering on the B2B marketplace even more flexible and versatile.
“Retailers on Nextrade are becoming now truly mobile and can use Nextrade in future when ordering directly on site at the trade fair. In this way, we are sustainably linking personal trade fair encounters with the digital advantages of the platform,” Philipp Ferger continues.
Retailers can thus order the latest products from their new and regular suppliers via Nextrade directly at the trade fair and at the same time receive all data. “In the course of the ordering process, retailers can already directly be provided with all image and product material – in exactly the format in which the retailer wants it. But the app is also a convenient tool for retailers outside of the trade fair, allowing them to scan products directly from the shelf and reorder them using one single system,” explains Nicolaus Gedat.
The Nextrade app also serves retailers as an extended counter during the sales talk in their own store. When customers ask for alternative colors or product variants, a tablet or smartphone is all that shop owners need to check product availability in real time. “Thanks to the drop shipping function, retailers can also have the requested products delivered directly from the supplier’s warehouse to their end customers. This not only shortens transport routes, but also reduces packaging and storage costs,” Gedat continues.
