The 32nd edition of Proposte, the world preview of furnishing fabrics and curtains, will be held at the usual venue of Villa Erba in Cernobbio, 6-8 May 2025.
“Made in Proposte” continues to represent a universal textile language that stands for excellence, quality, and innovation. Knowing their role as world leaders, the exhibitors will showcase their cutting-edge collections that are the result of a perfect balance between creativity and technology.
78 selected international exhibitors -30 Italian and 48 international – will present a preview of their new collections of furnishing fabrics, curtains, trimmings and wall coverings.
This year, Proposte has 6 new exhibitors: 2 from Italy, 1 from Belgium, 1 from Germany, 1 from the UK and 1 from Finland. Their products, organization and business philosophy meet the requirements for participation in the trade show.
The exhibitor list includes two important returns: Imatex 23 (IT), a leading textile company with more than 60 years of activity. All production processes are carried out in-house to develop innovative and high-quality collections. In 2023, the company became part of the Rino Mastrotto Group, a world leader in the production of leather, fabrics and services for high-fashion, the automotive industry, and interior design. David Walters Fabrics (GB), a company specializing in the design and manufacturing of high-quality woven fabrics has also returned to Proposte. With 300 years of textile innovation, the company combines traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology, making all products at its Sudbury site, in Suffolk.
Participating for the first time at Proposte are: Tessitura Enrico Sironi (IT), a historic Italian textile company operating since 1892. A family-owned business for six generations, the company produces high-quality fabrics specializing in linen for furnishing, wall coverings, and interior design; it offers tailored and customized solutions and boasts the Masters of Linen® certification. Tavelmo (BE), a vertically integrated Belgian textile company specializing in quality textiles with special expertise in jacquard and piece-dyed velvets, offers a wide range of color and finish options, working on a bespoke basis in collaboration with editors. Hohmann (DE), a German family-owned business founded in 1907, grown considerably over the past 20 years and with a production capacity of 45,000 mt per day, offers a broad range of furnishing fabrics and curtains. Last but not least, Annala (FI), the only manufacturer from Finland, produces wall coverings combining timeless Nordic design, high-quality natural materials, and bespoke service. The company offers exclusive, additive-free fabrics made with respect for tradition and sustainable values.
“These new entries and the two important returns provide evidence of the value and attractiveness of Proposte,” commented Massimo Mosiello, Director of Proposte. “Their participation will enrich the offering by bringing new perspectives and innovative solutions to the world of furnishing fabrics complementing the already prestigious products presented by our historic exhibitors every year during the three days of the Cernobbio event. We also thank the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Trade Agency ICE for their unfailing support.
Proposte 2025 promises to be an edition rich in novelties and opportunities for all sector operators.”
