We have recently interviewed the officials of Shamrock Tekstil.
Excerpts:
Could you briefly mention about your company?
As of 1980, Shamrock Tekstil has embarked on its activities in 1980, by initiating its towel collection.
The company, establishing its dyeing plant in 1993, weaving plant in 1994, has become fully integrated textile group in its field of specialization.
As of 2009, the company, launching the brand “Shamrock”, has been producing quality and innovative products in an integrated manner with its 1,000 qualified personnel.
What about production capacity and product groups?
We have been producing diverse range of towels and bathrobes, including cotton weaving fabrics, shirting and fabrics for trousers.
As for the towel production, we have been processing cotton and viscose filaments. We have specially designed touching processes as well.
Our shirting and trousers fabrics range from 100% cotton and 100% linen to lycra and viscose groups.
Monthly towel capacity of the company has reached 250 tonnes with its 57 looms; 33 of which is armur weaving, 24 jacquard weaving looms.
Shirting and trousers fabrics are produced by 77 armur weaving looms with a capacity of 500,000 meters linen/month. The dyeing plant of the company has been processing 9 tonnes yarn daily.
Dyeing plant has also been processing towels; 880 tonnes of which are plain and 360,000 meters of which are printed. As of 2014, our laboratory located in dyeing plant will comply with ISO17025.
We have been producing 15,000 bathrobes and 650,00 towels monthly.
Could you brief us on your production line?
Shamrock, as an integrated establishment of the sector, has 134 weaving looms, 57 of which are for towel fabric, 77 for shirting and trousers fabric.
What are your major export markets?
We have been exporting towels and bathrobes to Italy, France and the USA. We have been exporting diverse range of fabrics to Germany, the Middle Eastern countries and Russia.
As for the customer satisfaction policy of the company, what do you want to say?
Shamrock puts emphasis on customer satisfaction with a keen eye on uncompromising quality and expertise. Actually, we regard our customers as the members of our company.
Do you participate in international fairs and exhibitions?
We regulary participate in the major fairs and exhibitions of the sector in order to convey our message and vision.
As for the fabrics, we participate in Premiere Vision Paris, Munich Fabric Start,Texbridge İstanbul; we participate in HeimTextile, Evteks, NYC Market Week for home textiles
What are the major targets of your company directed to 2014?
We think that 2014 will be a year of development for us, particularly for our production, quality and marketing targets. We commit ourselves to reach our targets by increasing and diversifying our market share.
Do you want to say more on your company and your sector?
We estimate that 2014 will be a fruitful year in terms of domestic sales and export volume of the company. We have been closely monitoring global cotton and yarn prices particularly affected by China.
