Applications for the 3rd Turkish Home Textile Design Competition have started recently as it is open for professionals and students.
The contest, which is being organized by Uludağ Textile Exporters’ Association (UTIB) held in the categories of bed, bath, curtains and sofa, applications can be made via www.evtekstiliyarismasi.com
The competition which aims to increase the competitiveness of the sector by encouraging young people and professionals and to discover the unique designs of Turkish Home Textile that have the power to create fashion and trends in the global market; is being organized under the cooperation of Uludağ Textile Exporters Association (UTIB), Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM) and Republic of Turkey Ministry of Economy.
Turkish Home Textile Design Competition, which will be organized on 4-5 April 2013 and for the third time this year by Uludağ Textile Exporters’ Association (UTIB), is waiting for the designs of professionals and students in several categories.
A- All residents in Turkey can apply to the contest.
B- To the professional category of the competition; High school or equivalent education graduates,
C- To the Student category of the competition;
2 year university students from all textile and design related departments plus, textiles, painting, design related departments of engineering faculties and fine arts faculties’ students at the undergraduate, graduate and doctorate level students can participate.
Competition Categories
* Bedding: Duvet Cover Set, Pillows, Quilts, Bed Covers
* Bathroom: Toıvel, Bathrobe, Loincloth
* Curtain: Tulles and Curtains
* Sofa: Upholstery Fabrics

PREVIOUS COMPETİTİON (2012)
“The 2nd Turkish Home Textiles Design Competition” which was organized by Uludag Textile Exporters Association (UTIB) has finished with the award ceremony which was held in Istanbul at the Seed / Sakip Sabanci Museum on 14 May 2012. Totally 27 designs have been awarded. Professionals and students evaluated separately, the results of the contest announced at the award ceremony held in the Seed. Board of Directors of UTIB and member of the boards of several organizations, exporters, industrialists and designers attended the event
