VIATT 2027 gains momentum in Southeast Asia’s expanding textile market

Returning to Ho Chi Minh City from 24–26 February 2027, VIATT will connect international suppliers with new opportunities across Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region.

Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) is preparing to return to the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City from 24–26 February 2027. Covering the entire textile value chain, the fair will bring together suppliers, manufacturers, buyers, designers and other industry professionals from Vietnam, Southeast Asia and international markets.

VIATT 2027 will feature three principal sectors: apparel fabrics, yarns, fibers and garments; home and contract textiles; and technical textiles, nonwovens and textile technologies. The forthcoming edition will occupy 18,000 square meters of exhibition space, building on the performance of VIATT 2026, which attracted nearly 460 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions and recorded more than 17,000 visits from 54 countries and regions.

Hosted by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), the event is strengthening its position as a comprehensive sourcing and networking platform for the ASEAN textile industry.

Vietnam and Southeast Asia: a high-growth hub for home textiles

Vietnam and the broader Southeast Asian region are entering a new phase of expansion in home textile consumption and imports. Rising incomes, accelerating urbanization, a growing middle class and continued investment in housing and hospitality are positioning the region as an increasingly strategic market for international home textile suppliers.

Demand is developing across residential and commercial applications, ranging from bedding, bath textiles and table linens to curtains, upholstery fabrics, wall and floor coverings, sun protection products and contract textiles.

In Vietnam alone, imports of home textiles, including bedding, towels and upholstery fabrics, are projected to grow by approximately 6–8% annually through 2027, according to Statista data cited in the event’s promotional materials. Meanwhile, the country’s domestic home textile retail market is forecast to exceed USD 800 million in 2026 and achieve a compound annual growth rate of approximately 5–6% through 2030.

The rapid development of hotels, resorts, serviced apartments, restaurants and other commercial properties is also creating opportunities for suppliers capable of meeting the requirements of hospitality and contract projects. For international businesses, establishing an early presence in the market could therefore play an important role in securing long-term growth across Vietnam and neighboring ASEAN countries.

A gateway to ASEAN growth

Vietnam has emerged as one of Asia’s most important textile and garment production centers. Its extensive network of trade agreements, competitive manufacturing capabilities, export-oriented economy and connections with regional markets have made the country an attractive base for companies seeking to expand their activities in Southeast Asia.

VIATT enables exhibitors to introduce their products and capabilities within this dynamic environment while reaching buyers from Vietnam and other regional and international markets. Its visitor profile includes home textile and home product manufacturers, furniture producers, importers, exporters, wholesalers, distributors, retailers, e-commerce companies, interior designers, architects, sourcing offices, hotels, resorts, restaurants and contract-business specialists.

Structured business-matching services, buyer delegations and VIP buyer programs will provide exhibitors with opportunities to meet relevant sourcing professionals and decision-makers. These initiatives are designed to encourage productive conversations and help participating companies identify potential customers, agents, distributors and business partners.

Targeted platforms to amplify brand visibility

VIATT 2027 will offer several presentation formats intended to maximize exhibitors’ exposure. Country and regional pavilions, dedicated product zones, the cross-sector Trend Forum and an extensive fringe program will help buyers navigate the fair and discover products suited to their particular sourcing requirements.

The home and contract textiles section will showcase bedding, bath and loungewear products, kitchen and table textiles, curtains and curtain fabrics, sun protection systems, upholstery and sofa fabrics, leather, interior products, design solutions and technologies for contract applications.

The fair will also feature sustainability- and technology-focused platforms. The Econogy Hub will highlight eco-certified fibers, recycled materials and circular production solutions, while specialized zones and activities will address textile chemicals, dyes, digital transformation and emerging production technologies.

Product presentations, panel discussions, seminars, fashion shows and trend-related activities will complement the exhibition. Together, these events will offer insights into design directions, material innovation, sustainability requirements, trade developments and changing supply-chain strategies.

Exhibitors will additionally benefit from VIATT’s pre-show digital campaigns, targeted media outreach and onsite coverage, extending their visibility before, during and after the event.

As Vietnam continues to move towards higher-value, technology-driven and more sustainable textile production, VIATT 2027 is set to provide the international industry with a timely platform for sourcing, knowledge exchange and market development. For home textile companies in particular, the fair represents an opportunity to establish their brands in one of Southeast Asia’s most promising consumer and manufacturing markets.
