Ziyaoğlu Tekstil, which started production in 1994 as a retail and marketing company, also started its activities in the field of home textiles in 2005. Ziyaoğlu Tekstil is located in the Kestel Organized Industrial Zone and aims to increase its production by 100% in the future with its investments in the sector. We talked about the rise of Ziyaoğlu Tekstil, which aims to grow domestically and internationally, with company representative Gökhan Koç. Koç gave information about everything from targets to production stages and answered questions about the industry for us.
First of all, I want you to talk about the work of your company. Could you tell us about your production and product groups in the home textile and contract sector?
We currently have production capacity in many areas. For example, we produce in jacquard, dobby weaving, brode, embroidery and knitted fabric groups and we continue to produce with a fabric potential of 3.500.000 m2 per month. We produce all products in an integrated way in our own company and offer them to our customers. We have a wide range of products such as Rozabella, Arsisa, Decostar, Roza, Valentina.
“Our goal is to diversity our products and sell to different countries”
Your production area is very large. How much part of your production area includes abroad? What is the ratio of your exports to your total sales? I would like to know what kind of goals you have, especially in terms of export.
First of all, we are a company that focuses on export. We make 55% of our sales abroad. We export to over 40 countries in total, including European countries, Balkans, African countries, Middle East, Turkic Republics and Russian Federation. Now, we have expanded our target and our goal is to diversity our products and sell to different countries. For this reason, we want to be in the Far East and America markets.
Ziyaoğlu Tekstil cares very much about exports. So, how did the pandemic period affect you and what kind of changes did you make in your export volume?
The pandemic greatly affected all industries. For this reason, it has damaged the textile industry a lot. In every sense, our production and export chains have almost stopped. During this period, we had a problem with the raw material supply and could not deliver the product to the customers. This situation affected us very much. We encountered many problems in the international arena due to transport and travel restrictions. We started to produce solutions to this problem and developed ourselves digitally. We have established dealerships and warehouses in different countries to get through the pandemic period better.
“Digital transformation has become a necessity for our industry”
You said that you are improving yourself in order to digitalize. Can you talk about this development?
Yes, of course I will. Digital transformation has become a necessity today. Companies whose goals are to reach new business areas and new customers have become a part of this transformation in order to compete within the industry. In this direction, we expanded our technology network and established our digital marketing department. The biggest aim of this formation is to always provide the best service to our customers.
Ziyaoğlu Tekstil is a company that always keeps your goals alive and develops in every field. Accordingly, could you tell us about your collection for the 2021 season? Let’s talk about this.
We are a company that follows world trends since the first year we started production. We always try to offer our customers up to date colors and patterns. For the year 2021, we prepared more simple and natural products. This year we will emphasize simplicity and naturalness.
“We aim to increase our production by 100%”
We would like to learn about your goals for 2021. In addition, could you please tell us about your domestic and international fair activities?
I want to say this again that we aim to increase our production by 100% with our investments. By working in this way, we aim to provide faster and higher quality service to our customers. We believe in and trust in our company. We are strong enough to carry out our goals. On the subject of fairs, ı would like to say very clearly that fairs are indispensable for our industry. For this reason, we will be at domestic and international fairs after the pandemic as well as before the pandemic. I hope we overcome the pandemic as soon as possible and everything will be fine. I wish the future to be much better for our industry.
